  • Account information: Name, email address, and profile picture via Google OAuth.
  • CV data: Resume content you upload or create, including work experience, education, and skills.
  • Job data: Job descriptions and application details you track through the platform.
  • Payment information: Transaction records processed through Paystack. We do not store card details directly.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns to improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to provide and improve the Service, including AI-powered CV tailoring, ATS scoring, cover letter generation, and job application tracking. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Data may be used in aggregate, anonymized form to improve our AI models.

3. AI Processing

ReSync uses cloud-based AI to power CV tailoring, ATS scoring, cover letter generation, and interview preparation. Your CV and job data are transmitted securely (TLS encrypted) to our AI providers for processing and are not retained by them beyond the duration of the request.

4. Cookies & Storage

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use local storage to persist your preferences and editor state. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth: For secure authentication.
  • Paystack: For payment processing. Subject to Paystack's privacy policy.
  • AI providers (OpenRouter, Qwen): For CV tailoring, ATS scoring, and content generation.
  • Neon: For secure, encrypted database hosting.
  • Resend: For transactional email delivery.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit, secure authentication via OAuth 2.0, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Export your CV data at any time.
  • Opt out of non-essential data processing.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., payment records for tax compliance).
